1 Hotel Melbourne
Earlier this year, we had the privilege to work on this extraordinary project for 1 Hotel Melbourne, in partnership with Swisstrade. We thought we would take some time to share some of the truly unique pieces that were designed and handcrafted out of recycled and sustainably harvested and salvaged timbers that are now part of the great tapestry of sustainable design in this future driven hotel.
A big shout out also to the team at Swisstrade who worked closely with us to ensure that 1 Hotel Melbourne received products that were tailor made to suit the unique functionality needs of the hotel and to make our introduction into the hospitality scene a huge success.
So what did we get to make? You will get to see Jemmervale Design pieces all over the hotel, from the moment you step out the door of your car and your luggage is placed on a stunning timber trolley with salvaged timber from docks at the very site of the 1 Hotel, through to relaxing in your room and ordering in-room dining via a custom wooden coaster with embedded QR codes and NFC chips. The gallery below shows some of our pieces in their new home; and we will take time over the coming months to share some of the behind the scenes journey for how each piece came to life and the story behind the timber.
