Wipe the board down after each use with a damp cloth and then dry thoroughly. Do not submerge your board in water. Do not place your board in a dishwasher nor leave it to soak in water. To maintain your board, it will need re-oiling with a food-safe wood treatment oil when required. Ensure that you follow the instructions provided by the product you choose. If the grain becomes raised and rough sand the board with 240grit sandpaper and re-oil to restore to its former glory.

Victorian Ash
Please note that all our timber is hand selected for each board, however as Victorian Ash timber is a natural material it will vary in both colour and grain to the photos above. Features of Victorian Ash include fiddleback markings and visible gum veins. The timber may also range from a pale straw colour to a slight pink tone to a golden hue. As with all natural materials, Victorian Ash is affected by light and overtime the character and colour will change slightly. These natural features are a unique and beautiful characteristic of the timber.
American Oak
American oak timber is known for its distinctive appearance and characteristics. The wood has a warm, golden-brown colour with prominent grain patterns that create a visually appealing and inviting look. American oak is often characterised by its pronounced rays, which contribute to its distinctive appearance.
